Who I am and what I build
I am Dolev Franko, an independent app developer. I build mobile apps and games on my own and publish them myself: eight so far, all live, all free to install, every one on Google Play and six on the App Store. No studio, no team. The eight sheets above are the entire catalogue.
Every app here started as a problem I actually had. I wanted to sleep on the bus without missing my stop, so I built an alarm that watches the map instead of the clock. I wanted my school average without doing the arithmetic, so I rebuilt the grade book. I wanted to know where my own apps ranked in search, so I wrote the rank tracker.
The games are the same instinct with the stakes removed: a hue you can barely see, fifty numbers against a running clock, a phone thrown as high as nerve allows.
Questions
Asked often enough to write down
-
Who makes these apps?
Dolev Franko, working alone. One person does the design, the code, the icon, the store listing and the support mail for all eight apps and games on this page. There is no studio, no team and no publisher behind them.
-
Are the apps free?
Yes. All eight are free to download on Google Play, and the six that are on the App Store are free there too. Some are supported by ads and a few offer an optional in-app purchase, but nothing on this page costs money to install and none of them is a paid or subscription app.
-
Which platforms do they run on?
All eight are on Google Play for Android. Six are also on the App Store for iPhone and iPad: Bus Stop Alarm, Grader for Mashov, Privacy Guard, One to 50, Color Sense Test and Speedy. App Indexer and Tossy Phone are Android only. Six of the eight also have their own website, linked from their sheet above.
-
How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?
Through the store listing for the app in question. Every Google Play and App Store listing carries a developer contact address and a support link that reach the developer directly, and a review left on the listing is read as well. Bug reports that name the device and describe what you were doing get fixed fastest.
-
Why are there no download counts, ratings or review quotes on this page?
Because none of them were verified when the page was written, and unverified numbers are worse than no numbers. The same goes for release dates, which is why no year is printed on any sheet. Every claim here is checkable against a live store listing, or it is not made.
-
Where can I see everything Dolev Franko has published?
The Google Play developer page lists all eight, because every app here is published from that one developer account. The App Store developer page carries the six that ship on iOS. Both are linked at the foot of this page, alongside the GitHub account.
